Welcome to the Hawaii Bird Records Committee Online!
The Hawaii Bird Records Committee (HBRC) was formed in 2014 to provide a formal venue and standard protocol for reviewing bird reports in the Hawaiian Islands and to maintain an official Hawaiian Islands bird checklist. The HBRC reviews reports of rare birds observed in the Hawaiian Islands and publishes results of those reviews. The HBRC encourages all birders to submit reports of rare bird observations in Hawaii, using eBird, or by submitting a report to the committee chair, including a description of the sighting and of the bird, field notes, photographs, video or audio documentation, and/or sketches. Click here to download the rare bird report form. Eventually we hope to provide electronic submission of reports through this webpage.
