There are many ways you can support WFO:
Become a Patron of WFO
Patrons are individuals whose abiding high regard for WFO has led them to make a substantial donation to help sustain the organization's long-term financial health.
Patrons enjoy the same benefits as Life members (a lifetime subscription to Western Birds and early registration for conferences and trips), and in addition may be invited to join the Board at special social events. The Board set the minimum donation to become a Patron at $1,500, independent of the donor's membership status (Regular member, Life member, or non-member). The donation may be directed to WFO generally, or to any of its established funds.
As of June 30, 2017 WFO had seven Patrons.
- A donation to the Pasadena Audubon/WFO Youth Scholarship Fund will help provide scholarships to young birders who wish to attend WFO conferences, field trips, and other activities.
- A donation to our San Miguel Publications Fund will help us expand our offerings, including new books and new titles in our Studies of Western Birds monograph series, while maintaining the high quality of Western Birds and free public access online to its back issues, to The Euphonia, and to other publications.
